Cornwall is steeped in history, culture and mystery, however cliched that may sound. The county is really a country, and has been for millennia. The Romans never even conquered the land truly.
Brookfields is located near some of the most well know historical spots in the world. Tintagel and Jamaica Inn being two of them.
Holidays in Cornwall have been held in high regard for centuries, and once you make the trip, you will see why. The seafronts are dominated by Cornish cottages full of character, and Victorian architecture. There are countless examples of the past of this land, especially by the sea where the maritime history is clear. Some areas of Cornwall could only be reached by water up until the early part of the 20th century.
Make sure you visit Rough Tor for instance, one of Cornwall's highest points, and part of the stunning Bodmin Moor landscape. This is also close to a place called Slaughterbridge, named after a battle that took place centuries before.
King Arthur's shadow hangs over this land heavily, from the River Camel, to Goss Moor where he hunted deer. Make sure you do not just drive down the A30 and ignore the land around you. You will miss out on so much.
