Eating Out in North Cornwall

The big names (Rick Stein's restaurants in Padstow; Jamie Oliver's restaurant Fifteen, Newquay) attract most media interest. However, in local towns and villages there is a good variety of alternatives for eating out.

Pub food is served at the Red Lion, in St Kew Highway, one mile away. Within two miles, food is served at the 15th century Inn in St Kew village, and at the 17th century Malsters Arms in the hamlet of Chapel Amble.

Wadebridge town (3 miles) provides a wide range of food and eating out choices.

Port Isaac and Padstow (20-30 minutes car journeys) are great places to sample fresh fish dishes.

Local Area

Brookfields is perfectly placed for exploring North Cornwall. Sandy beaches, fishing villages, coastal footpaths, cycle tracks, historic houses, garden and several of the finest golfing facilities are only short car drives away.

Bostcastle, Tintagel, Padstow, Newquay, Eden, Heligan gardens and the Cathedral city of Truro are half hour car journeys.

Wadebridge is our nearest town, situated on the banks of the river Camel where it opens out into the tidal Camel Estuary. It is one of North Cornwall's main market towns with a busy pedestrianised shopping centre, parks, indoor and outdoor leisure facilities and a cinema.
